Aaron C. Wood joined his Lord, Jesus Christ May 3, 2017 after battling cancer. He came home to celebrate his mother's 60th birthday and lived his last few weeks in the company of his family who rallied around him celebrating life.
He was the most incredible son and brother. Growing up, Aaron and his sister were best buds. He made every milestone especially memorable for her. Those close to Aaron knew he was the type of brother that loved providing unsolicited advice, including parenting advice. He believed parenting advice came natural to him although he did not have children of his own.
Instead of seeking treatment to prolong his life, he chose to continue to do the work he loved and assist seniors to be comfortable in their home, allowing them to age in peace.
Aaron never met a stray cat he didn't feed and have neutered. He loved mixing music, and eating great food.
Aaron will be reunited with his father, loving grandparents and great grandmother with whom he shared so many wonderful moments.
The family will celebrate his life with a private service. You may join in the celebration of his life with donations, in lieu of flowers. Organizations most meaningful to Aaron are:
St. Vincent Foundation, who provided the most compassionate care his last few weeks
American Cancer Society, to assist other individuals and families with cancer
Cat Welfare Association in Ohio, that helped him care for the many stray cat companions that he fed and took in for vet care
