Alice Jean Berling Parr,
72 of Carmel, passed away October 18, 2012. She was born in Indianapolis on August 10, 1940 to Thomas Aulene, Jr and Margaret Ann Berling. After graduating from Broad Ripple High School, Alice went on to own the gunsmith shop, Carmel Blue-Blak.
She is survived by her children, Darla Jean (Mike) Cutler of Indianapolis and Edward Everett Parr of Golden Meadow, LA; three grandchildren; one great grandchild; and brothers, Thomas Aulene, Jr (Peggy) Berling of Noblesville and Everett Noel Berling of Indianapolis. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Ernest Parr.
Alice will be remembered as a loving woman with many passions. She enjoyed gardening, decorating, cooking, and garage saleing. She also loved nature and her five cats, but most of all she loved her family.
A memorial service will be held on November 1st at the Church on the Word, 5210 E. English Ave., Indpls, IN 46219, at 7PM.
In lieu of flowers, Alice requested that memorial donations be made to Best Friends Animal Society, 5001 Angel Canyon Rd., Kanab, UT 84741.
