Alice Obadia Serrat

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away on November 19, 2018 at Hooverwood Nursing Home, she was 89.

Alice was born on August 23, 1929 to Isaac and Rose Obadia in Larache, Morocco. She was bi-lingual, speaking both Spanish and French. Alice was an avid knitter, creating beautiful scarves and hats. She was also known for her lovely singing voice. Professionally she worked as a bank secretary. She was a member of Etz Chaim Sephardic Congregation.

She is survived by her son, Gilbert Serrat and daughter, Annick Fartouh; her 7 grandchildren, Sandy, Steve, Jessica, Johana, Jennifer, Benjamin and Robin and her 6 great grandchildren, Wyatt, Nellie, Lylah, Leo, Emmett and Cami. Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Albert in January, 10, 2006; as well as her 4 siblings.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at 11:30 AM in Aaron-Ruben-Nelson Mortuary, 11411 N. Michigan Road, Zionsville, IN 46077. She will be laid to rest next to her husband Albert in Etz Chaim Cemetery, 2250 South West Street, Indianapolis, IN.
