Alice Jane Smith passed away May 22, 2015, at St. Augustine Home. She was born in Indianapolis on July 12, 1933, to Margaret Pihl and Keith Smith. She graduated from Shortridge High School and Vassar College, and later received a master's degree from Purdue University.
She is survived by her niece, Debra Smith Peek (Jeffrey), nephew, Murray Keith Smith (Sarah), three great-nieces, and one great-nephew. Her brother, Raymond Frank Smith, predeceased her.
Donations can be made to Little Sisters of the Poor who the family would like to thank for the excellent care provided the past 12 years. A memorial service will be held July 25, 2 pm at St. Augustine Home.
