Anice W. Oldfield

February 5, 1928 — May 2, 2018

Anice W. Oldfield

90, of Carmel, passed away on May 2, 2018. She was born on February 5, 1928 in Marion, IN to Edward and Ina Wilkins. Anice was a graduate of Marion High School and later worked as a sales associate for Sears and then worked for ADI Chemical Company for over 6 years.

She will always be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a loving, caring, and gracious woman who extended much grace to her children and grandchildren; she will always be deeply loved and missed.

Anice was a former member of First Friends Church in both Marion, IN and Carmel, IN and was a current member of the Grace Community Church in Noblesville. She enjoyed playing golf and was a member of the Ladies League of Brookshire Golf Club as well as Kelly Greens Golf & Country Club in Ft. Meyers Florida. She always loved the beach and lake.

Anice had many interests and talents. Some of her favorite games were bridge, scrabble and crossword puzzles. Anice had a talent for working with her hands and was a wonderful cook. She also enjoyed baking and canning; but was similarly skilled at sewing, crocheting and knitting. Her musical gifts included playing the accordion and piano. Her favorite pastime of all was spending time with her family - whether that be fishing with dad, cooking a meal, or sharing some of her favorite bits of wisdom, "pull yourself up by your bootstraps!" and "step back and watch yourself go by".

Anice is survived by her husband of 72 years, Robert Oldfield; children, Jean (Bob) Craig, Valerie Oldfield, Nancy (Jerry) Mullins, and Christina (Jim) West; grandchildren, Rod (Jessica) Craig, Nicole Knipscheer, Matt (Holly) Mullins, Edward (Jiselle) Parkin, and Trevor (Joelle) Parkin; and great grandchildren, Chloe, Kylie, Callie, Dakota, Jack, Briana, Ethan, Dylan, Isabella, Brayden, Bryleigh, Lily, Josie, Ellie, and Lyla. She is preceded in death by her grandson, Clint Mullins.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, May 7, 2018 at 1 P.M. in the Carmel Cemetery.

Memorial Contributions may be made in her memory to the Grace Community Church Food Pantry, 5504 146th St. Noblesville, IN 46062.

1 (A Psalm of David.) The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
