Anjanaben Rajnikant Bhagatwala, affectionately called “Anju” started her new journey to heaven on March 21st, 2021. Anjanaben was born in 1951 to Late Mr. & Mrs. Kanchanlal and Sanumatiben Shah in Vadodara, India. She was one of nine children and her dad’s most favorite. She studied Masters of Arts and married to Rajnikant Bhagatwala in 1976. She lived rest of her life in Ahmedabad after her marriage and moved to Carmel, Indiana in 2020.
Anjana was fond of singing, dancing and cooking. Her pleasant personality and ability to keep a smile on her face during the toughest times influenced many lives. She will be remembered for her calm and pleasant personality and her willingness to make sacrifices to comfort others. She was a loving wife, a committed mother, an exemplary daughter-in-law and a dependable friend. She played each role of her life with full dedication. In her final years, some of her favorite things were to spend time with her grandsons and share her recipes with her daughter-in-law.
Anjana is survived by her husband, Rajnikant Bhagatwala; children, Jay and Jigar (Kajal) Bhagatwala; grandchildren, Anay and Avyan; sister-in-law Sushila; siblings, Kiritbhai, Naliniben, Krishnakant, Bhaminiben, Ashokbhai, Rekhaben and Hansaben, as well as big extended family in India.
Anjana was preceded in death by her parents, and younger brother, Haresh Shah.
Services will be held at A.R.N. Funeral & Cremation Services at 11411 N. Michigan Rd., on Thursday, March 25th from 4 – 6 PM.
