Ann Lorraine Tavel Levenson
82 years of age, lifelong resident of Indianapolis, passed away on May 27, 2012.
Ann will forever be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother, sister, friend and grandmother. She never knew a stranger, maintained a positive attitude even in her final days. Her smile, laugh and warm nature will be missed by so many. She had a wicked sense of humor and kept our spirits up through her journey. We will forever miss her.
Ann was a graduate of Shortridge High School and Indiana University. She enjoyed working at Jacobson's Department Store and later for Saks Fifth Avenue. She actively managed a real estate business for her husband Alvin, who preceded her in death.
Ann was an active member of the Jewish community, belonging to Congregation Beth-El Zedeck, Broadmoor Country Club, Hadassah, Hooverwood Guild and National Council of Jewish Women.
She leaves behind her beloved daughters, Lora Avery and Martha Levenson (Michael Bose); brother, Dr. Morton Tavel, sister-in-law Rosalie Burns, and her grandsons, Michael and Danny Avery. The family is deeply thankful for the care and love given to Ann by her caregiver Lynn Brosman.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 30, 2012, 11:00am, at Aaron-Ruben-Nelson Mortuary, 11411 North Michigan Road.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
