Arman Samson Calalang of Indianapolis, IN passed away August 24, 2024 at the age of 50.
Arman was born to Servillano and Marta on September 24, 1973, in Chicago, IL. As the last-born son of proud Philippino immigrants, he grew up in Chicago and graduated from Loyola University In 1995 with a Computer Science degree and a minor in Theology.
Arman began his long career in Chicago, working for Neal, Gerber & Eisenberg and Burrell Communications. He joined Nystom company in 2001, and years later this role would require a relocation to Indianapolis to join the Herff Jones Inc team. He greatly enjoyed his time working at Herff and had many fond memories with his co-workers and friends there.
Arman began a new role with Hopebridge Autism Therapy Centers in 2021 and treated every associate like his family. He was always smiling and willing to help. He loved to provide lunch for everyone on his floor to celebrate his birthday, as a way of bringing everyone together. During the time he spent in the hospital, he often said “I just want to go to work” because he missed his work and his work family. Arman’s legacy at Hopebridge is one of dedication, community, and unwavering support. He will be deeply missed by his Hopebridge family.
For many years, Arman enjoyed annual trips to Las Vegas with friends and family. He was also a zealous sports fan (especially the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears), an enthusiastic collector of sports memorabilia, and treasured every moment spent with his nieces and nephew.
Arman’s love for his family was endless. He is survived by his mother, Marta; and brothers, Arnulfo (Imelda), Angelo (Nancy) and Alvin (Claudette). He was a very proud uncle to Adriana, Danica, Kylie, Lilianne, and Lucas. He was preceded in death by his father, Servillano (Lolo Pappa).
His generosity and warmth were felt by all who knew him, and he will be profoundly missed by his family and friends.
