Armette Kay Hudelson

November 8, 1943 — May 10, 2012

Armette Kay Hudelson, 68, of Muncie, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly at her home in Muncie, Indiana on May 10, 2012.

She was born November 8, 1943, in Winchester, Indiana, the first of three daughters of the late William B. Hudelson and Olive E. (Stegall) Hudelson.

She retired from the position of office manager to an Osteopathic medical practice in Clearwater, FL, where she had worked for about 30 years - primarily for Dr. Sam Barker and later Dr. Markou. She was an active member of the Largo Crackers Quilt Guild there before relocating to Muncie, Indiana, five years ago to be near family because of her advancing multiple sclerosis. She filled her time quilting for family, friends and charity. She was an active volunteer of Union Chapel Ministries monthly "Blanket Ministry Group" and an active member of the Muncie Quilters' Guild and had sewn for RSVP in the past.

Her independent living was happily made possible by her love of sewing, her computer and quilting friends, the great employees and neighbors of the Cambridge Square Apartments, the caring van drivers of the Muncie Indiana Transportation System, good medical care and loving family.

She is survived by two sisters, Stephanie A. (husband Richard E) Thompson, Parker City, IN and Kathy M. (husband Jim) Veazey, Cottage Grove, TN; three cousins Joann Lucas, Sharon Marsh and Paul Stegall; five nieces Tina Poe, Heather Cecchini, Ashlie Darke, Renee Klink and Denise Royal and a nephew Jared Veazey; and several great-nieces/nephews.
