Aubrie Anne Zelikovich

Aubrie Anne Zelikovich passed away suddenly on June 23, 2021.  She is survived by her parents, Edward and Shana; her sisters, Olivia and Grabriella; maternal grandmother, Peggy Mitchell;  paternal grandparents, Rita and Azik Zelikovich, and uncle, Lenny Zelikovich.  She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Jim Mitchell.

Graveside funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 27, 2021 at 1:00pm in Indianapolis Hebrew Congregation Northside Cemetery, 1300 E 161st St, Westfield, IN 46074. Aubrie is the heart of our family. Her entire life she fought incredibly difficult circumstances, and she did it with grace and dignity. Surgeries, hospital stays, seizures, autism, and a lifetime of therapies to help her walk and talk filled her days. Despite all of that, every day she woke up with a huge smile. She happily greeted everyone she met with a high five and enchanted all of us with her enthusiasm and pure joy. She loved her dogs, her guinea pigs, and everything Frozen. Aubrie especially loved to get her sisters in trouble, whether they were guilty or not! When she couldn’t find the words, she made them up and we knew exactly what she meant. Aubrie was our family’s touchstone. When we were running around doing all the things that we get caught up in, she reminded us of what it is that is really important: a hug, a kiss, snuggling on the couch, reading a good book, watching your favorite movie. Aubrie only lived in the present and focused on what really matters. We don’t know why she was taken from us at only 10 years old, but maybe it was because she had already figured out all of the most important things we need to know about life. We love you sweet girl.
