Barbara J. Alderson,

Hard-working career woman and loving wife and mother, died peacefully on Wednesday, September 28, after a long battle with cancer. From 1975 to 2008, Barbara maintained a close relationship with Elmer Husskinson.

Barbara was the widow of Indianapolis Police Officer Kenneth Alderson, to whom she was married for 22 years, from 1948-1970. She never remarried.

Barbara is survived by her children, Karen Johns and Kenneth Alderson; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held from 2PM to 6PM with a memorial service beginning at 4PM on Saturday, October 8th at A.R.N. Funeral & Cremation Services, 11411 N. Michigan Rd., Zionsville, with Rev. Dr. Norman W. Campbell presiding.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent in Barbara's memory to Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, 383 Main Avenue, Fifth Floor, Norwalk, CT 06581.
