Indianapolis - Age 83, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away on November 18, 2018.

Bernie was born in Indianapolis on April 20, 1935 to David and Sarah Frankovitz. He served as co-owner of Frankovitz Market and Village Produce and later worked for 7-11 and Double 8. He was a former member and past vice president of Congregation B'nai Torah and past president of the Men's Club and was a member of the Grocers Association.

He is survived by his 4 daughters, Mona (Rapheal) Blumberg, Sandra (Sam) Benson, Shelly (Jeff) Wasserman, and Francine Frankovitz; grandchildren, Zevvy Blumberg, Yonaton Blumberg, Tzipora Ben Ishay, Tehilla Blumberg, Eli Sheva Aronoff, Ayelet Benson, Abigail Wasserman and David Wasserman; siblings, Devera Gurvitz, Helen Goldstein and Herbie Frankovitz. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lea in 2014 and his sister, Treva Silverman.

Funeral services will be on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Aaron-Ruben-Nelson Mortuary, 11411 N. Michigan Road, Zionsville,IN 46077 at noon. Burial will follow in B'nai Torah Cemetery (2250 South West Street, Indianapolis, IN ).

The family will observe the traditional shiva period at Bernie's home from 10:30AM to 8:30 PM.
