Beverly (Harr) Charter

Beverly Charter, of Carmel, passed away April 8, 2020.  She was born in Jackson, Michigan to the late Lynn and Elizabeth Harr.  She grew up in Munith, Michigan.  Beverly was a registered nurse and always cared for those around her.

She graduated from high school in Nazareth Academy, Kalamazoo, Michigan in 1946 and then attended Jackson Community College of Jackson, Michigan.  In 1950, she graduated from the Mercy School of Nursing of Detroit, Lansing, Michigan.  She worked as a registered nurse at Mercy Hospital in Jackson for many years.  She also enjoyed working in her husband’s golf shop at Arbor Hills Country Club, the Country Club of Miami, and Shanty Creek.

She is survived by her sons, Brien Phillip (Michelle) Charter and Mark Canfield (Lynne) Charger; daughter, Catherine Ann (Donald) Bauder; grandchildren, Mark Robert Charter, Katherine Rose Charter and Abby Sue (Milan) Maravich; three great-grandchildren; siblings, Phillip Duane Harr, Jane Katherine James, and Ann (Horace) Ward; and several beloved nieces and nephews.

Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, Brien Canfield Charter; son, Robert Lynn Charter; and brother, Robert Harr.

A service will be held at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Church, 1111 Carlton Blvd, Jackson, MI 49203 on Friday, June 12th at 11 AM.  Burial will follow in St. John Catholic Cemetery in Jackson, MI.  Additionally, Celebration of Life service will be held in Michigan in late summer.
