Brian W. Hale,
50, of Indianapolis, passed away September 25, 2021 from a traumatic brain injury. He was born to Ben and Mary (Taylo) Hale on July 22, 1971, in Rensselaer, Indiana, where he graduated from Rensselaer Central High School. He was an entrepreneur from a young age, starting Escape (a teen night club) while he was still in high school. He held various retail and music management positions throughout his career, winning countless sales competitions.
Brian brought light and laughter to everyone around him. He would do anything for you, even while he might be planning an elaborate prank. He was an amazing father, with a tight bond to both of his kids, that extended to their friends and his nieces and nephews.
Brian was the perpetual host, not only with his cooking skills, but by always making sure everyone was having a good time. He shared his love of music, movies, and shows with others, often enjoying them more the second or third time just watching others’ reactions.
He couldn’t sit still, and his energy was infectious and his orneriness endearing. He was smart, spontaneous, and spoke his mind, often joking “I do what I want”, then never looking back! Brian even left this life helping others by being an organ donor.
Brian was loved by many, but especially his family. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Kristin Phillips Hale; their children, Piper Hale (17) and Atticus Hale (14); sister, Malia (Arthur) Clark; parents, Ben and Mary Hale; sister-in-law, Amber Gerke (John Baumgart); brother-in-law, Ben (Bridgette) Phillips; mother-in-law, Anita (Jeff) Land; and nieces and nephews, Ryan (Andi) Cox, Jessica Phillips, Zachary Gerke, Kyle Phillips, Drew Gerke, Haley Clark, Melainy Clark, and Oliver Phillips.
