age 76 passed away December 8, 2015 at IU West Hospital, Avon, IN.
Carol was born July 8, 1939 in Piper Town, MO to Theodore and Leona (Berlin) Van Buren, Sr.
She is survived by 3 children: daughter, Jody Zorsch and husband Jerry of Sunbright, TN; son, Jeff Humpert and wife Angie of Plainfield, IN; step-son, Scott Proulx and wife Inez of Indianapolis, IN; brother, Theodore Van Buren, Jr of Brookfield, IL; 6 grandchildren Keith and Tony Humpert, James and Ian Hobson, Jamie and Morgan Proulx; 7 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many friends. She was predeceased by brothers, Bobby Bublitz and Clifford (Ray) Van Buren; step-son, Matthew Proulx; and grandson, Justin Stahl.
Carol was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, and traveling. Obituaries may say "step" in legal terms but Carol never thought of her family as anything but family. She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly.
Per her wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of Carol's life will be held Monday December 21, 2015 from 4-7 pm at Hall-Baker Funeral Home 339 East Main St Plainfield, IN. Online condolences may be left at www.arnmortuary.com
