C. Max Anderson,
89, of Indianapolis passed away Monday, September 1, 2015. He was born January 3, 1926 in Newport, IN to the late Donald & Mariene Anderson. Max enlisted into the United States Navy from 1944 to 1946. He retired from Cummins Engine Co. Indianapolis after 60 years of service. Max was Cummins' first field Diesel Mechanic. He was married 47 years to his late wife, Patricia S. Anderson.
He is survived by his sister, Doris Monce; two sons, James and Charles Anderson; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Max was a great husband, father and friend to all that knew him. Max will be greatly missed. He will always be remembered for his generosity, kindness and green thumb.
For all his friends and family there will be a Celebration of life passing party at the American Legion, 601 South Holt Road, Indianapolis, IN 46241 on September 25th, 2015 from 5 to 9 PM. At 6:30, military honors will be conducted in his name. Please no flowers. Max was a huge animal lover and contributed to many animal rescue organizations.
