Loving Husband, Father, and Grandfather:
Clarence A. Taylor of Indianapolis, passed away this past Tuesday at the age of 86. Family and friends were with him at the time of his passing. He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Helen C. Taylor and his grandson Matt. He is survived by his five sons, seven grandchildren, and one great-grandson on the way. He is also survived by his younger sister, Sandra.
Clarence graduated from Ben Davis HS (class of 46) and attended Lincoln Bible College. He was known as "CAT" to his classmates. He earned his letter in basketball while at Ben Davis.
He spent time in Tucson AZ where he met his future wife Helen. After marrying, they returned to Indianapolis. Together, they raised five boys, Chuck, Rob, Shaun, Darrell, and Bryan.
Clarence was a longtime member of Ben Davis Christian Church and the former Pastor of Mt. Carmel Christian Church located in Trafalgar, IN. He also retired as a repairman from the Indianapolis Ford plant.
A Memorial Service will be held at Ben Davis Christian Church on Sunday, April 27th at 3:30 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Ben Davis Christian Church Missions.
