ANDERSON-Connie Fisher Plough, 66, passed away August 4, 2013 at St. Vincent Anderson after a brief battle with cancer and complications from Multiple Sclerosis. She was born April 12, 1947 to Wilburn and Betty (Thompson) Fisher in Marion, but lived all her life in Anderson.
She retired from Anderson Community Schools in June of 2009, after 28 years of teaching. She was one of those teachers that loved her time in the classroom and never thought of it as just a job.
Connie was a member of Lindberg Road Church of Christ. Her family meant the world to her and her favorite thing to do was playing with her great-grandsons.
Connie is survived by her mother, Betty J. Fisher; daughter, Misty M. Plough; son, Jon P. Plough; her daughters in her heart, Victoria (Blades) Meyer and Elizabeth (Redd) Huff; granddaughters, Kelsey Ann (Rauby) Lawyer and Taylor Jo (Kyle O'Bryant) Plough; her grandchildren in her heart, Charlotte Huff, Candra Huff, Heidi Emmerling and Austin Smith; great-grandsons, Dawson Lee Lawyer, Collin Patrick Lawyer and Kolton Michael O'Bryant; brother, Jeffrey Kent (Ann) Fisher; nephews, Douglas and James Fisher; great-nieces, Kassi, Kaylee, Lexi and Maddie Fisher and Shaina Jenkins; best friends, Leigh Edwards and Sandy Anderson, and her special friend and neighbor, Brad Gustin.
She was preceded in death by her father, Wilburn C. Fisher; first born son, Gregory Allen Plough; and her significant other of 23 years, Larry Blades.
Per Connie's request, no funeral services will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army, 1615 Meridian St., Anderson, IN 46016.
The family wishes to especially thank the doctors and nurses on 5 South that took such wonderful care of Connie and her family.
