Constance “Renee” Corey Nasser, 58, was surrounded by her loving family and friends as she departed this life on July 12th, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Renee was born in Terre Haute, Indiana on October 5th, 1965 to Dr. Noble R. Corey & Mrs. Roseanne Corey.
After graduating from Terre Haute North Vigo High School, Renee attended Indiana State University where she was very active in the Chi Omega Sorority and received her Bachelor Of Science Degree in Chemistry in 1988. She put her degree to good use during her three decades of working in the FDA regulated quality control division of multiple major corporations, most recently with SpectronRx.
Always the brightest person in the room, Renee soared to the top of each company she was affiliated with.
On October 30th, 1993, Renee, the Granddaughter of Syrian immigrants married Gregory James Nasser, the Grandson of Syrian immigrants, and the love of her life, bringing two large families of the community together as one. That union produced three loving children, Cameron Corey Nasser, Colton Corey Nasser, and Christiana Rose Nasser. Each, always best friends with their Mom, jointly became her caretakers over the past several months as she battled cancer both at home and in various hospitals.
Renee was always the “life of the party”, and regardless if the party required a ball gown or involved a ball game, Renee was meticulous about her appearance. Beautiful both inside and out, to know Renee was to love her because of a personality that was so vibrant and a smile that was so wide. She continued these characteristics right into her final days making her passing even more difficult to wrap our heads around.
Renee is survived by her parents, Noble & Roseanne Corey; her husband of 30 years, Gregory James Nasser, her children, Cameron Corey Nasser, Colton Corey Nasser, and Christiana Rose Nasser; sister and brother-in-law, Kristine Corey Kleptz & David Kleptz; mother-in-law, Shirley Farah Nasser, Aunts, Mary Helen Farah Ellis, Rosemarie Farah Tanoos, Julie Farah Lake, Maryann Nasser Tanoos, and Flordeliza Castillano; brother-in-law, Jeffrey Nasser, sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Sheri Nasser Seat & Tony Seat, sister-in-law, Shelly Nasser, nieces and nephews, Jarred Kleptz (Brittany), Ryan Kleptz, Jeffrey Nasser II, Nicole Nasser, Christopher Seat, & Alexander Seat, and several cousins. Renee also enjoyed a host of friends, many of which who helped her during her time of need.
Renee was preceded in death by her grandparents, her Uncle, John Corey, Sr. & her father-in-law, George T. Nasser.
The family would like to thank the medical professionals who attended to or consulted with Renee these past several months including Dr. Costa Albany, Dr. Melhem Jabbour, Dr. Monte Shaheen, & Dr. Tony K. Nasser. Thanks also to Rev. Dn. Elias Corey for his spiritual oversight. The family would also like to use this opportunity to remind everyone to schedule your colonoscopy.
