Dale Douglas Perkins, Sr., a devoted family man and a vibrant soul, passed away on March 29, 2025 in Greensburg, Indiana. Born on October 30, 1952 in Hamilton, Ohio, Dale was the youngest of eight children. He was raised on a farm where he developed a strong work ethic and a wonderful sense of humor that would leave a lasting impression on all who crossed his path. His formative years included the unique experience of delivering farm animals, a testament to his humble beginnings and the rich tapestry of his life.
Throughout his career, Dale worked hard, dedicating many years to operating a tow motor and eventually retiring from Delta Faucet. His commitment to his work was unwavering, reflecting a spirit of determination and resilience that defined him.
Dale’s interests extended far beyond work. He found joy in fishing and had a green thumb, passionately planting flowers to brighten both his life and the lives of those around him. In his youth, he would often ride motorcycles, embracing the freedom and adventure that came with the wind in his hair.
With a heart full of love and laughter, Dale is survived by Joylene Perkins, his cherished wife, who stood by his side through thick and thin. Together, they nurtured a family that includes Dale's children, Tina and Dale Jr., as well his stepchildren, Amanda Giddings and Ross (Ashley) Marshall. Dale’s legacy lives on through his 15 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, each of whom carries a piece of his warm spirit.
Dale was preceded in death by his loving parents, Troy and Cora Perkins, and his dear stepdaughter, Alisa Garrette. He also mourned the loss of his siblings: Virgil, Orville, Denver, Donald, Darrell, Darlene, and Paul Perkins. Their memories remain etched in the hearts of his family, weaving a narrative of love and connection that will forever endure.
A graveside service to honor Dale's life will be held at South Park Cemetery in Greensburg, Indiana at 11 AM on Wednesday, April 2, 2025.
Dale Douglas Perkins, Sr. will be lovingly remembered for his laughter, strength, and the joy he brought to all those fortunate enough to know him. His spirit will continue to shine through the lives he touched, echoing in the stories shared by family and friends for generations to come.
