On April 23, 2023, Dalton Smith Bell, a beloved son, brother, father, and uncle passed away peacefully at 29 years young. Dalton was born in Putnam County, Indiana on July 27, 1993 to Mitchell and Ericka Bell.
Dalton attended North Putnam High School as well as the Area 30 Career Center, Class of 2012, where he successful earned his high school diploma and Construction Equipment Operators Certificate. In addition Dalton carried a CDL.
For work, Dalton enjoyed working various types of construction but mostly he enjoyed his time spent driving dump trucks.
Dalton had a lengthy list of hobbies that included working on anything mechanical, building Lego sets with his sons, sitting around a campfire with friends and family, and playing Cornhole.
While he gave us plenty to remember him by, Dalton will best be remembered for his great sense of humor, for being so well mannered, and his contagious smile.
Dalton was a loving father to his two sons and an astounding Uncle to his nieces and nephews. His family and time spent with them was time he cherished.
Dalton is survived by his sons, Bentley and Tyson Bell; mother, Ericka (Dean Campbell) and father, Mitchell (Tammie) Bell; three siblings, Cody (Shannon) Bell, Shelby (Brandon) Hutcheson and Marshall (Crystal) Bell; grandparents, Mitzi Shepherd, Joseph (Kate) Bell, and Patricia Curran;
and nieces and nephews, Autumn, Devony, Lukas and Logan Bell, and Kinsley and Elliana Hutcheson.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Hollis Smith Shepherd.
