Dana "Dane" Edward Bretz
60, of Indianapolis, passed away suddenly on January 25, 2015. He was born in Portsmouth, Ohio on January 6, 1955 to Ralph and Barbara (Snyder) Bretz.
After graduating from Warren Central, Dane found his hands on education by traveling through Europe. He made many friends along the way through his musical talents, which inspired him to settle in Portland, OR. In Portland he was able to develop his musical art and also to help manage up and coming bands in the area. After 15 years he decided to come back home to Indiana.
Dane loved music; it was something that inspired him throughout the course of his life. He played guitar, enjoyed drag racing, and just spending time with his friends. Dane also loved his job with D & S Liquors. He was a devoted employee for over 25 years.
Dane is survived by his loving mother: Barbara (Snyder) Bretz, sister; Donna (Stan) Lawrence, and niece; Stacey Lawrence. He is preceded in death by his father; Ralph Bretz and will be truly missed by his family and friends.
