Daniel Wayne Slonaker, Sr.,

63, of Anderson, passed away June 7, 2018. He was born on February 13, 1955 in Rahway, NJ to the late Gerald and Franconia Slonaker. After graduating from Rahway High School, Daniel became a property manager for YMCA. He was a very involved member of Moose Lodge #150 and previously served as its Governor. Daniel also enjoyed golf and bowling. He loved spending time with his family and his children and grandchildren were his life.

Daniel is survived by his wife of 42 years, Kathleen; four children, Robert (Jennifer) Spaeth, James (Kara) Spaeth, Daniel (Jasmine) Slonaker, and Stephanie (Wayne) Bucci; eight grandchildren, Danielle, Rannen, Damon, Sydnie, Gavynn, Jade, Wayne and Nicholas; siblings, Geraldine (Frank) Kosloski, Wendy (Stan) Florczak, Robin (Joe) Shelmet, David Slonaker, Donald (Connie) Slonaker, and Douglas (Claudette) Slonaker. He was preceded in death by his sister, Terry Conway; and grandson, Daniel Wayne Slonaker, III.

A Celebration of Life will be held at The Moose Lodge, 225 E. Pine St., Anderson, IN 46012 on Sunday, July 1st at 2 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
