Passed away on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 from complications of an auto accident. He was born on November 24, 1940. David served in the United States Air Force. He eventually came to Indianapolis and started a successful computer business, Computer Systems Corp. David had a passion for dogs, in particular in rescuing dogs in need of a home. He adopted over 15 dogs throughout his lifetime. David and his wife, Linda, traveled the world together and deeply enjoyed their time in Italy. He played Bocci Ball regularly, and was always one with a quick smile and joke.
David is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Linda; daughter, Maria Knuckles and grandson, Nathaniel Knuckles; sister, Paula Fagan and brother, Anthony Tortora. His two beloved dogs, Myron (Baby Dog) and Frank will miss him dearly.
A celebration of David's life will be held on Sunday, June 24, 2018 from 2-5 PM at
Aaron-Ruben-Nelson Mortuary, 11411 N. Michigan Road, Zionsville, IN 46077.
A military honor guard will pay tribute at 3PM during the visitation. In lieu of flowers, and to honor David's love of animals, memorial contributions may be made to ASPCA.
