Denise Stohler, 70 yrs. old, the beloved wife of John G. Craig, passed away on Friday, January 7, 2022, after an extensive illness. She was born on May 10, 1951, to Marvin and Edith Marie Smith Stohler of Markleville, Indiana. Denise was a 1969 graduate of Markleville High School, and then attended the University of Indianapolis, where she earned her RN Degree and Bachelor of Science Degree.
Her entire life was dedicated to helping others, as her career in nursing led her to become the Head of Cardiac Cath Lab at Winona Hospital while living in Indianapolis. She married John on September 4, 1976, whereupon they moved to London, England for six months before returning to the US and settling in California. Her career continued by helping others on the West Coast with nursing positions in cardiology, endoscopy, and dermatology.
Denise is survived by two sisters, Dee Ann (Howard) Williams of Anderson and Debra (Bill) Thommen of Carmel, IN; two nieces; two nephews; and five great nieces and nephews.
Denise will always be remembered for her storytelling, quick wit, and very high level of intellect.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John; brother-in-law, Howard; and both parents.
