Doris J. Olt,
83, of Zionsville, passed away July 15, 2018. She was born in Dayton, OH to Richard and Ella Hornicke on June 20, 1935. After graduating from Patterson Co-Op High School, she attended Ohio University. Doris married Charles Olt on November 28, 1955. They enjoyed living in Tipp City, Ohio and Carmel, Indiana as well as traveling the world. Doris had a successful 23 year career with the IRS. She was a lifelong Lutheran. She also enjoyed arranging flowers, gardening, swimming and scuba diving. Most of all, Doris had a special bond with her grandsons.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Charles; sons, Richard A. (Janet Gaffney) Olt, John E. (Krista) Olt, and David L. Olt; and grandchildren, Jay and Andrew Olt.
A memorial service will be held at the Hoosier Village Chapel, 5355 Soapberry Drive, Indianapolis, IN 46268 on Thursday, July 19th from 2 - 4 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Down Syndrome of Indiana, 708 E. Michigan St., Indpls, IN 46202 or the American Cancer Society.
