Dorothy "Dottie" Boyd

Dorothy "Dottie" Gimbel Boyd,
95, of Indianapolis passed away April 27, 2013. A lifelong resident, she was born January 23, 1918 to Ernest and Louise Gimbel. Dottie was a graudate of Shortridge High School and Butler University.
She was a member of Second Presbyterian Church, Pi Beta Phi Sorority, Benefe Guild and the Meridian Hills country Club. Dottie's favorite thing was spending time with her beloved family.
She is survived by her son, Carter Boyd, Jr. (Rebecca); daughters, Joan Wert (Richard) and Catherine Cislak (Gregory); grandchildren, David Wert (Kirsten), Cliff Cislak (Anna), and Mary Tresize (Andy); and five great-grandchildren.
Dottie was preceded in death by her husband, Carter Boyd, Sr.
A Celebration of Life event is planned for immediate family members. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or Salvation Army.
