Dorothy Mae (Gerding) Harper

Dorothy Gerding Harper, daughter of Oscar and Flora Gerding was born April 10, 1928 in New Haven, MO and died October 31, 2023 in Carmel, IN. She was a graduate of the University of Missouri and taught school in St. Louis, Missouri and Indianapolis, Indiana before moving to Charleston, Illinois. She met her husband, Dr. Guy R Harper, while attending school at the University of Missouri and was married for 62 years.

She is survived by her children, Chrys (Peter) Kemezys, Reg (Nancy), Jill, and Dr. Roy (Sherry) Harper; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Guy R Harper MD, and her daughter Robin Harper Smart.
