Dorothy Ann Phillips,
89, of Indianapolis, passed away May 25, 2019. She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on February 27, 1930 to Albert and Julia Adams. After graduating high school, Dotty worked as a book keeper for a law office. Her real passion was for sailing, and she spent over 13 years living on a sail boat. Her husband, the late Robert G. Phillips, was in the Air Force. They had the pleasure of travelling frequently for his work and were stationed at many different bases. Dotty relocated to Indianapolis in her later years, moving in with her son, Stephen, in 1998.
She enjoyed crocheting, reading, and collecting frogs. Dotty also adored attending services at Crooked Creek Baptist Church. Most of all, she will be remembered for her love of her family and her kitties.
She is survived by her son, Stephen (Becky) Phillips; grandchildren, Tia (Patrick) Phillips-Cobb and Jonathan (Jill) Phillips; great-grandchildren, Katelyn and Clayton Phillips; and sister, Nell Adams.
A memorial service will be held at Crooked Creek Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Boone County Humane Society.
