Dr. Irving Prince,
88, of Indianapolis, passed away July 13, 2017. A lifelong resident, he was born to Nathan and Dora Prince on June 24, 1929. Irving was a graduate of Shortridge High School, Butler University and the Illinois College of Optometry.
He had a private optometry practice in Indianapolis for 60 years. Irving was a 60 year member of both the American Optometric Association and the Indiana Optometric Association.
He is survived by his wife, Sue Shapiro Prince; children, Rina Yellin (Daniel), Shira Prince (Robert Waitman), and David Prince (Ori Ben-Shabbat); 11 grandchildren; and sister, Geraldine Kurtz.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 14th at A.R.N. Funeral & Cremation Services, 11411 N. Michigan Rd., at 2 PM. Burial will follow in Ohev Zedeck Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hooverwood or Hasten Hebrew Academy.
Shiva will be at the Prince Residence Sunday July 16th and Monday July 17th from 3:30 pm to 7:00 pm each day.
