Drew K. Anderson, 60, of Westfield, IN died Thursday, December 22, 2016 in his home after a year-long battle with cancer.
Born October 6, 1956 in Hollywood, CA to Harold Anderson and Charlotte Steele Anderson, he grew up in Punta Gorda, FL and graduated from Birmingham Southern University with a BS in Chemistry and received advanced degrees from University of Memphis - MBA Finance and MS Chemistry. Beginning his career at Federal Express in Memphis, TN, he worked as a Purchasing / Materials & Plant Manager as well as a Software Implementation Consultant before he moved to Indiana where he was employed for the last 16 years by DowAgroSciences in Zionsville, IN.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Charlotte Steele Anderson and father, Harold Anderson. He leaves his wife of 27 years, Lisa and two children Hunter (23) and Hannah (22) along with his step-mother Carol Anderson of Whittier, CA, brothers, John (Nina) Anderson of Oceanside, CA and Thomas Anderson of Whittier, CA / LaPlata, MO. Surviving in-laws are Betty & Rhinard Troup of Cordova, TN, Ellis (Kimberly) Troup of Southaven, MS and John (Mary) Troup of Bartlett, TN.
Drew had a love of animals (Gracie, Callie, Shelby, Xena, Lillie, Maisy, Gabby & Maggie and grand-dog Winnie) OK - maybe not Xena. His hobbies included gardening, cooking, reading and he was fiercely devoted to learning and teaching throughout his life. He volunteered at several chapters of Habitat for Humanity in Tennessee, Florida and Indiana.
A visitation will be held on Friday, January 6, 2017 from 4-7 PM at A.R.N. Funeral & Cremation Services, 11411 N. Michigan Rd. Zionsville, IN. Memorial contributions may be made to Habitat for Humanity of Greater Indianapolis, 3135 N. Meridian St., Indianapolis, IN 46208
