Ebba Bick passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on August 28, 2016. Ebba was born in Toledo, OH to Frederick and Esther Dannenfelser. She graduated from Libby High School and Miami University of Ohio. After college, she worked at the B. R. Baker Company as the assistant controller. Ebba married Edward H. Bick in 1947, and they had three sons, Peter, Stewart and Carter. They each acknowledge the character-building influences of her love, humor and intellect.
Ebba and Edward lived in Ann Arbor, MI, Menlo Park, CA and Houston, TX before moving to Indianapolis eight years ago. In addition to her sons, she is survived by "Ed," her devoted husband of nearly seventy years, her brother, Peter Dannenfelser, and nine grandchildren, Emily (Travis Elborough), Nathan (Ingrid), Hunter (Deidre), Tenley (Omar El Shal), Carsten, Catherine, Cameron and Olivia Bick, and Kristin Tillinger. She has one great-grandchild, Clara Bick. Ebba is also survived by her daughters-in-law, Carol (Peter), Londa (Stewart) and Amy (Carter) Bick.
A private family celebration of life was held Monday, August 29, 2016. Ebba will be interred at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Ann Arbor, MI, where she was a member for many years.
The family wishes to thank the loving providers at St. Vincent Carmel Hospital and Kindred Bridgewater Center, as well as the home health care givers from 1 on One, LLC.
Special thanks also are extended to Rev. Sarah Ginolfi of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Indianapolis.
