Edith Gold Garfield

101 years of age, passed away on July 5, 2016 in Indianapolis.

Edith was born to Sam and Sadie Gold on December 10, 1914 in Muncie, IN. She was a graduate of Muncie Central High School, where she was the state Latin contest winner. Edith received her undergraduate degree from University of Michigan and then received her law degree from Indiana School of Law.
Edith successfully passed the Indiana State Bar.

She was a long time member of Congregation Beth-El Zedeck
and Indianapolis Hebrew Congregation, a life member of Hadassah
and a long time volunteer at area hospitals.

Edith will be remembered for her keen wit and considerable intellect.
She is survived by her daughters; Marcia Torobin and Joyce (Ron) Nelson; granddaughter, Jessica Fields, 2 great granddaughters,
and nieces, Florence Lapin and Rochelle Popkin.
Her beloved husband, Dr. Martin Garfield, preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held on
Sunday, July 10, 2016 at 2:00 PM in Beth-El Zedeck South Cemetery.
