Eleanor (Davie) Galbraith,
52 of Carmel, passed away January 4, 2016. She was born in Lanark, Scotland, to Robert and Myra Davie. The family moved to Columbus, IN in 1972. Eleanor attended Richards and Columbus East Schools. After graduation from Franklin College, Eleanor spent her professional career in medical practice management. Despite being diagnosed with cancer in 2009, she continued to work as a court appointed special advocate and to raise funds for fellow patients at St. Vincent's Hospital.
Eleanor is survived by her husband, John; children Michael and Moira Bellamy and Laura Galbraith, her father Robert and brother Thomas Davie.
A memorial service will be held at the Second Presbyterian Church, Indianapolis, on Monday 11th at 11.00am. Inurnment will follow in Columbus, Indiana at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Davie-Galbraith Liver & Colon Cancers Fund at St. Vincent Hospital.
