Ferdie Mae Hill was born November 11, 1933 in Marie, Arkansas to Johnnie Johnson and Mattie Johnson. Ferdie married Joseph L. Hill and lived in Indianapolis, Indiana as a homemaker. She was a devoted member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses.
On December 2, 2012, at the age of 79 years old, Ferdie departed this life. She was preceded by three sisters, two brothers, and one step-son. Ferdie leaves to cherish her memories her daughter, Mable A. Marshall; six step-children; grandson, Walter D. Brooks, III (Rochelle); granddaughters, Yontein Marshall and Melody Thompson (Floyd); a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins; one brother-in-law, Roscoe Anderson; and two aunts, Pearl Sewell and Naomi Dawson.
Special thanks to all family and friends, especially the elder of her nieces, Betty Johnson, for her support during these trying times. We love you Betty and are very grateful for your warmth and devotion.
