Florence Shapiro Danzig

Beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend, Florence Danzig of Fishers passed away on January 26, 2020. Florence was born to Helen and Abe Shapiro on January 19, 1928 in the Bronx, New York.

The Shapiro family moved to Indianapolis when Florence was five years old. In 1949, she married Frank Danzig. The couple had two daughters, Lynn and Susan. After Frank passed away, Florence worked in the playroom at Marsh super market, watching the children of shoppers. It gave her unexpected joy. She also treasured going to the movies and enjoying a good meal with friends. In her later years Florence lived with her daughter Lynn, which gave her a sense of comfort.

Florence is survived by her daughter, Lynn (Alan Stillerman) Danzig; and sisters, Sunny Hoffman and Sue Prince. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frank; her daughter, Susan Danzig Brown; and her brother, David Shapiro.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, January 29th at 1 PM in Congregation Beth-El Zedeck North Cemetery.
