Florence L. Leviton, formerly of Indianapolis, age 92, passed away on September 20th, 2018 in Columbus, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Mae Hirsch and her husband, Jerome S. Leviton. She is survived by her daughters Anne E. (Gerald) Einsohn and Linda (Robert Newman) Leviton; sisters Joan Rubin and Pat (Leon) Gainsboro, and grandchildren Jeffrey Einsohn, Sara (Jeff) Thruston, Samuel Newman and Ethan Newman. She was a loving grandmother.
Florie was an artist and docent for the Indianapolis Museum of Art, the Eiteljorg Museum, and the Children's Museum in Indianapolis. She was a big supporter of Indianapolis Art Center and you could often find her in the printmaking department there.
She was a good friend to many and had a great sense of humor. She loved to entertain; she could whip a dinner together for company and make it look easy. She loved to read, play bridge and mah jongg and go to the symphony.
In 2010 she moved to Columbus, Ohio to be near her daughter Linda. She missed her buddies in Indy and kept in touch with them.
Graveside services will be private.
