Florence Cherner Weinman,

85, of Auburndale, MA, passed away May 8, 2019. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on September 8, 1933 to Louis and Mary Cherner. Florence had a love for music, singing in her choir at Golda Meir house in Auburndale, MA and any type of Yiddishkeit. She was a homemaker for many years but was also music leader at the JCC camp years ago and worked in the office at the BJE. She also treasured her many trips to Israel with her daughter, Lori Kirby and son in law, George Kirby.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Profeta; son-in-law, George Kirby; and grandchildren, Michelle (Ian) Profeta Powers, David Profeta, Yonaton Kirby, Daniel Kirby and Michael Kirby. Florence was preceded by her husband, Leonard Weinman; and her daughter, Lori Weinman Kirby.

Graveside services will be held Sunday, May 12th at 2 PM in the Congregation Beth-El Zedeck North Cemetery. A minyon and shiva will be directly after the funeral at the home of Michelle Profeta Powers. The family will also be sitting shiva on Monday from 4 - 9 PM.
