Gail Anne Adamson, a loving wife, mother and grandmother passed away on October 2, 2024, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Born on November 21, 1942, in Buffalo, New York, Gail's life was marked by her unwavering commitment to helping others and her deep passion for education. Her engaging personality and infectious laugh are remembered fondly by all who knew her.
Gail was a dedicated learning disability specialist and cherished member of her community. After earning multiple Master's degrees, Gail spent her career supporting individuals with learning disabilities, advocating for their needs, and empowering them to reach their full potential. This brought her immense satisfaction, and she was known for her kindness and patience.
Even after retirement, Gail remained an educator. She was an enthusiastic water aerobics instructor. She found joy in sharing her love for fitness and wellness with others, creating a welcoming environment where individuals could thrive both physically and socially. She was a creative artist; her favorite media were glass and clay. Gail and her husband enjoyed traveling internationally, scuba diving and interacting with wildlife of all kinds, especially those in the ocean. She volunteered with SPCA, the Humane Society, Second Helpings and the IRT. She was a proud "cat lady" and worked tirelessly for women's rights and supported many environmental charities.
Gail is survived by her loving husband, Howard "Dov" Feldman, and her son, Jeff Cohen (Stephanie), grandchildren Daniel, Simon and Peter, and brother Jim Adamson. She is preceded in death by her parents, John Evans Adamson and Marguerite Skinner Adamson.
As we remember Gail, we celebrate her legacy of kindness, her commitment to education, and the joy she brought into the lives of so many. Her spirit will be missed but will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched.
