Gaynell, 86, died peacefully at Brownsburg Meadows on March 22, 2016. She was a resident of Jamestown, IN until 1982, then Belliare, MI from 1982 to 2014 and Pittsboro, IN 2014 to 2016.
She leaves behind her husband of 68 years, Robert S. Hovermale; daughter, Christina (Greg) Golday of Chesterton, IN; two sons, Robert F. (Betsy) Hovermale of Colorado Springs, CO, and Eric (Kelly) Hovermale of Pittsboro, IN; five grandsons, Jason and Justin Golday, Ryan, Cory, and Bret Hovermale; and 2 great-grandaughters, Arianne (deceased) and Brooklyn Golday.
Gaynell worked as a telephone operator and town clerk for Jamestown and was a volunteer at the Bellaire Library.
Gaynell will be remembered as a sweet and gentle person, a devoted wife, and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandma. She taught her family generosity, strength, and unconditional love for people and animals. Her home was a haven for many stray animals.
A memorial service will be held at a later time. Memorial contributions in Gaynell's name may be made to the Bellaire Public Library.
