George Byron Connell,

93, of Indianapolis, passed away June 27, 2017. George was born in South Bend on August 9, 1923 to the late Charles Robert and Mary Priscilla Connell. He attended James Whitcomb Riley High School and went on to attend John Herron Art School. George proudly served his country during WWII in the United States Marines.

George is survived by his three children, John Connell, Eric (Lynn) Connell, and Jula (Buddy) Crider; grandchildren, Jason (Shelly) Keaton, Anna (Rick) Stingley, Amber (Neal) Austin, Aaron (Tum) Connell, Martha Ball, Billie (Bradley) Riley, W.H. Scott (Jennifer) Crider, and Megan Crider; great-grandchildren, MaKenna Keaton, Elise, Evan, Eden, Emerson, and Ellie Stingley, Jack and Drake Stevens, Nash and Hank Austin, Micah, Max and Isla Connell, Elliott and Sophia Ball, Emma, Jackson, and Audrey Riley, and Xander, Phoenix, and Emerson Crider.

A visitation will be held on July 8th from 12 - 2PM with a service beginning at 2PM at Faith Apostolic Church, 1212 E. 116th St. Carmel, IN.
