85, died, peacefully in his sleep on October 4, 2017. Jerry was born in Spring Grove, Indiana on August 8, 1932. Jerry was the beloved husband of over 60 years to Joyce "Dolly" Fivel, and was a wonderful father to Suzy (Dr. Larry) Falender, Steve (Leslie) Fivel and Sheryl (Dr. Louis M.) Profeta; seven grandchildren: Joe (Rachel) Falender, Jessica Falender, Abby Fivel, Sophie Fivel, Max Profeta, Eli Profeta and Zachary Profeta. He was preceded in death by his parents, Abe and Frieda Fivel, and brother, H. Jack Fivel. He was a graduate of Purdue University, where he was a proud member of the Purdue Marching Band and a founding member of Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity. Jerry served proudly as a First Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps. Jerry founded and owned Indianapolis Meat Company for more than 40 years. He was a lifelong member of Congregation Beth-El Zedeck and a member of Jewish War Veterans. Jerry enjoyed music, art and most of all spending time with his wife and family.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 8, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Aaron-Ruben-Nelson Mortuary, 11411 N. Michigan Road, Zionsville, IN 46077.
