Glendora Jean (Walker) Oemler,
Died on January 24, 2017. She was born July 12, 1933, to Ernest and Dorothy Willhide Walker in Hartford City, Indiana. The family moved to Anderson in 1945. She graduated from Anderson High School in 1951 and attended Ball State University. She retired after 30 years from the former Guide Division of General Motors as Quality Assurance Supervisor. She then became Quality Manager at Product Action International, Inc. in Fishers, retiring in 1996.
Glendora was the family historian, a member of the Madison County Historical Society, and served on the Board of Directors of Mendon Cemetery Association. She was of Methodist faith.
Glendora was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband, William K. Oemler; children, Mary (Donald) Gemberling and Mark (Dolores) Oemler; four grandchildren, Matthew (Kristina) Gemberling, Bradley (Erynne) Gemberling, Eric (Christine) Oemler, and Rachel (Nathan) Carty; and four great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are her brother, Allen (Elizabeth) Walker and his children, Michael (Regina) Walker and Janet (Robert) Bryant and their families.
There will be no public services and burial will be private. Donations may be made to the Madison County Historical Society or to Alzheimer's research.
