Gloria Albert,
60 of Indianapolis, IN passed away April 14, 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Gloria was born in Vinton, Iowa on February 16, 1953 to Eddie and Kathryn (Pippert) Ocheltree. She graduated from Dysart-Geneso High School and attended the University of Iowa. Gloria married John Albert in May of 1983 in Iowa City. The couple moved to Indianapolis in 1985, at which time Gloria began working the health insurance business.
Gloria enjoyed the Indy 500, Brickyard 400 and NASCAR races, cooking, reading, crocheting and knitting.
She is survived by her loving husband, John; sister, Vickie (Larry) Holst of Vinton, IA; brother, Jim (Bonnie) Ocheltree of Dysart, IA; brother-in-law, Jim (Joanne) Albert of Iowa City, IA; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews; and her dog, Max.
The family would like to especially thank their friends and coworkers who have showed their love and support during this difficult time.
Gloria and John were devoted to each other to the very end and hope to meet together 'somewhere' in God's Plan to embrace once again.
A memorial service will be held at the Aaron Ruben Nelson Mortuary, 11411 North Michigan Rd, on Friday, April 19th at 12 PM. Visitation will from 11 AM until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Indianapolis Humane Society.
