Hal C Cultice, age 97 of Indianapolis, Indiana (formerly of Peru, Indiana) passed away January 22, 2025.
He was born April 1, 1927 in Terre Haute, Indiana to Irma Wilson Cultice and Harry S. Cultice. He graduated from Glenn High School and served in the US Navy near the end of WWII.
Following his short time in the service, he graduated from Rose Polytechnic Institute (now Rose-Hulman) with a degree in mechanical engineering. He worked for Northern Indiana Public Service Company for over 41 years, retiring as a district manager in Peru after having worked in Michigan City, South Bend, Gary and Elkhart.
He was always active in many civic organization and was named Peru's Citizen of the Year in 1971. Playing duplicate bridge was his favorite hobby. He was a long-time member of the American Contact Bridge League and attained the rank of Gold Life Master. He was a 24-year resident of Robin Run Village.
Hal is survived by his wife of 72 years, Jo Henry Cultice; son, Robert Cultice of St. Joseph, MI; and granddaughter, Ann Cultice of Indianapolis. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Elaine Cultice Bright in 2004; and by two sisters, Shirley Butwin and Wanda Bolton.
