On Sunday, May 29, 2022, Hannah Jo (Hofherr) Ten Eyck, mother to two children and grandmother to four, passed away peacefully at age 77.

Hannah was born on October 16, 1944, in Muncie, Indiana to Philip and Willimiene Hofherr. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from DePauw University, where she was an active member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority, and her Master's in Education from Butler University. On August 12, 1967, she married Robert Lancaster Ten Eyck, Jr., and together they raised two sons, Peter and Nick, on the northside of Indianapolis. Hannah was perennially involved in the community through the Children's Museum Guild, she was a past President of the Junior League of Indianapolis and the Indianapolis Garden Club, and a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Indianapolis Alumnae Association, the Progressive Club, and Second Presbyterian Church. In addition to her teaching and community involvement, Hannah loved to garden and to play golf at Woodstock Country Club where she would always walk the course and stick to her tried and true method of success - slow and steady, and straight up the fairway. She brought her love of clothes, fashion and style to bear as an employee at Marigold in Broad Ripple in her retirement. Hannah was an avid bridge player with a passion for collecting antiques. She was a charismatic and charming woman who always had an open ear and could strike up a conversation with anyone.

Hannah was preceded in death by her husband, Robert. She is survived by her two children, Peter (Noelle) and Nick (Margo), her brother Philip (Sarah), her niece and nephew, Grace and Eli, and her four grandchildren, Dexter, Lucy, Owen, and Jack.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2022, at Second Presbyterian Church at 1:30pm preceded by a calling at 12:30pm.
