Harold A. Schimmel, Jr.,

76, of Indianapolis, passed away December 26, 2019.  He was born in Evansville, Indiana on July 23, 1943 to Harold A. Schimmel, Sr. and Sallie Garrett Schimmel.  Harold proudly served his country in the United States Navy for six years.  He then went on to work as a machinist with ConRail Railroad for over 14 years.  Harold was a member of the American Legion Post #0276, as well as a 40 year member of the Indiana Free Masonry Lodge #723.  He was also a long-time member of Bible Church.

He is survived by his two daughters, Sheila (Rick) Owens and Mechelle (Linus) Peck; three grandsons, Christopher Owens, and Cameron and Lucas Peck; and two sisters, Deanna Schimmel and Dianna Noel.

A memorial service will be held Monday, December 30th from 9 – 11 AM at A.R.N. Funeral & Cremation Services, 11411 N. Michigan Rd., Zionsville, IN 46077.  Burial will follow in Westridge Memorial Park Cemetery.
