Herbert Clarkson Perkins,
80 of Indianapolis passed away July 29, 2012. A lifelong resident, Herbert was born on January 4, 1932. He retired from the police force as a Sergeant motorcycle officer after 20 years of service.
Herbert was a member of the American Legion Kennington Post and Indiana Freemasons.
He is survived by his loving wife, Patty; children, Cherie (Dan) Kidd, Herbert LeRoy (Sandy) Perkins, James (Kristi) Perkins, and Penny (Kirk) Weaver; fourteen grandchildren; and fifteen great grandchildren.
Herbert was preceded in death by his son, Richard Perkins.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Indianapolis.
