91 years of age, passed away July 29, 2012 at Hooverwood Nursing Home.
Ilya was born n Vennista, Ukraine and immigrated to the United States in 1992.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Bella; son, Yefrem (Lina) Pekar; 4 grandchidlren, Dr. Irene (Michael Voskobynik) Fox, Eugene (Miroslava) Fox, Yakov Pekar and Elizabeth Pekar and 6 great grandchildren.
His daughter, Assia Fox preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at Aaron-Ruben-Nelson Mortuary, 11411 N. Michigan Road., on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at 2:00pm.
Burial will follow in Beth-El Zedeck NorthCemetery.
