Jack was born in Chicago, IL to Frank and Fannie Bernard on September 12, 1930.
He was a 1950 graduate of Shortridge High School and proudly served in the US Army during the Korean War. Jack worked for many years as a cook and baker at Hooverwood Nursing Home.
Jack is survived by his beloved family, his sons, Richard (Denna), Bruce and Victor (Lisa) Bernard, 6 grandchildren, Angela, Holly, Bryan, Bradley, Nathan and Erin and his 3 great grandchildren, Kiah, Kaley, Noah and David.
Graveside funeral services will be on Friday, April 14, 2017 at 12:00PM
In United Orthodox Hebrew Cemetery.
